Using Litee

These terms govern access to Litee, including merchant accounts, merchant dashboards, public storefronts, guest checkout, orders, subscriptions, delivery tools, and customer portals. By creating an account or using Litee, you agree to these terms.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you use Litee for a business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these terms.

Litee's role and the merchant's role

Litee provides software that lets independent merchants publish a storefront and manage commerce. The merchant, not Litee, is the seller of the products or services shown on that storefront.

Each merchant is responsible for accurate listings, lawful products, prices, taxes, payment instructions, customer communications, fulfilment, delivery, cancellations, refunds, and compliance with consumer and business laws that apply to the merchant.

A purchase or subscription creates an agreement between the customer and the merchant. Questions or disputes about an item, delivery, payment, cancellation, or refund should be raised with that merchant first.

Merchant accounts and stores

Merchants must provide accurate account and store information, keep login credentials secure, and promptly update details that affect customers. One person may not use another person's account without permission.

A merchant is responsible for activity under their account and for people they allow to use it. Tell Litee promptly if an account or private customer link may have been accessed without permission.

Orders, subscriptions, and payments

Customers must provide accurate contact, delivery, and payment information. Private order-status and customer-portal links must be kept confidential and used only for the customer records they identify.

Litee may display a merchant's payment instructions and record a submitted payment reference or payment status. The merchant receives and verifies customer payments. Litee does not hold customer funds or guarantee that a payment, refund, product, or delivery will be completed.

Recurring Product options include merchant-defined billing cadence, delivery schedules, start availability, and rules for pauses, skips, cancellations, or credits. Customers should review those rules before starting a subscription, and merchants must honour the rules accepted at that time.

Acceptable use

You may not use Litee to break the law; sell prohibited, unsafe, counterfeit, or infringing goods; mislead customers; invade privacy; send unlawful communications; interfere with the service; probe for vulnerabilities; distribute malware; or access another account, store, or customer record without permission.

You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer protected parts of Litee except where applicable law expressly permits it. Automated access must not harm service availability or bypass technical limits.

Content and ownership

Merchants retain ownership of store names, logos, product images, descriptions, and other content they provide. They grant Litee the limited permission needed to host, display, process, resize, and transmit that content to operate and improve the service.

Merchants confirm that they have the rights and permissions needed for their content and that it does not violate another person's rights. Litee retains ownership of the platform, design system, software, and other materials it provides.

Availability, suspension, and closing an account

We work to keep Litee available and reliable, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider outages, or events outside reasonable control. Features may change as the product develops.

Litee may restrict or suspend access when reasonably needed to protect customers, merchants, third parties, or the service; investigate suspected misuse; comply with law; or address a material breach of these terms.

A merchant may stop using Litee and close their store subject to available account controls and legal record-keeping requirements. Obligations that should reasonably continue, including payment, ownership, confidentiality, dispute, and liability terms, survive closure.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent allowed by law, Litee is provided on an as-available basis without warranties that every feature will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Litee is not responsible for a merchant's goods, services, conduct, promises, taxes, fulfilment, or customer disputes. To the extent allowed by law, Litee is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Litee, our business model, or applicable requirements change. We will publish the revised date here and give additional notice when a material change requires it. Continued use after an update takes effect means the updated terms apply.
